Lightweight foamed material "Super Sol" made from waste glass bottles.

Recycled materials are increasingly being used in civil engineering, greening, agriculture, and water purification, among other applications.

"Super Sol," a lightweight foamed material made from recycled glass. Its features include being inorganic, porous, lightweight, water-retentive, drainage-capable, non-combustible, and resistant to chemicals, making it a very manageable material. By adjusting the types of bubbles during production, it can be tailored to meet specific performance and weight requirements for various applications. Additionally, it can be combined with various materials to create new products. [Examples of Applications] ◎ Lightweight Fill (Civil Engineering)… Lightweight fill material, backfill for retaining walls, subsurface drainage material, elevation material, etc. ◎ Greening… Inorganic soil amendment, oxygen pipes, rooftop greening materials, artificial lightweight soil. ◎ Agriculture… Inorganic soil amendment, subsurface drainage material, artificial lightweight soil, mulching material, solution cultivation. ◎ Purification… Rainwater retention systems, artificial wetland systems, water quality purification materials, aquarium filtration materials. ◎ Multipurpose… Crime prevention, weed control gravel, road repair materials, soil deodorization, stone wash. *For more details, please refer to the materials. [Super Sol Construction Case] A2 U-shaped retaining wall infill material case

This is a case study of the improvement work in the Monzen area of National Route 2 in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture.

We will introduce a construction case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass. Improvement work on National Route 2. Super Sol, which can reduce weight, was used as the infill material for the U-shaped retaining wall. Lightweight materials were considered to reduce the load on the underground passage and waterway crossing under the national road. Initially, another material was planned for use, but due to concerns about dissolution from leaks of gasoline and other substances, Super Sol, which is inorganic and less susceptible to degradation from heat and oil, was adopted. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Improvement work in the Monzen area of National Route 2 - Application Category: Civil Engineering / Structural Backfill / Retaining Wall / Roadbed - Client: Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kinki Regional Development Bureau - Construction Location: Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, load reduction, heat and oil resistance For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] A1 Case of Subgrade Replacement Work for Roads with Poor Drainage

This is a case of improvement paving work at the national supplementary road intersection in Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction using the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made from crushed and sintered waste glass. The site had poor drainage, and even after paving, water would seep up, causing repeated subsidence. In the construction of a new road, Super Sol, which is lightweight and has good drainage properties, was chosen for the subgrade replacement work. The thickness of the Super Sol installation is approximately 1.7 meters. After the installation, no subsidence like before has been observed, and it is now being used as a comfortable road. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: National Subsidy Road Intersection Improvement Paving Work - Usage Category: Civil Engineering / Lightweight Fill / Subgrade Replacement - Client: Ibaraki Prefecture - Construction Location: Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Soil Pressure Reduction, Drainage For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
